Macau Sauna Free Dining: Steak, Even Beer
The first time I took a friend to Empire, what I remember is the three seconds of silence after the menu landed. Steak, seafood, soups down a full page — he lowered his voice: “isn’t this a massage place?” I told him to order whatever he liked. He picked the steak and a beer, then spent the whole night waiting for the bill. When it came, it carried his treatments and nothing else — not one dish, not the beer.
He didn’t believe it, so he went back the next month on his own. This piece is for everyone like him, sitting there waiting for a bill: free dining is standard equipment at Macau’s saunas, but where “free” actually ends is the part nobody explains. Here are the dining rules of all seven saunas on this site, counted out once.
What’s on the free menu
The seven saunas share the same backbone, with portions and variety differing house to house:
- Mains — steak, fried rice, fried noodles, noodle soup, sandwiches
- Hot dishes — seafood, pork, lamb, soups
This is not a vending-machine afterthought — the steak arrives plated, a proper portion; it is the dish my friend went back for. The regulars’ most-ordered pairing has never changed: steak to anchor the night, noodle soup to close it. A plate between sessions is the regulars’ standard rhythm.
Drinks: at many houses, even the beer
The free drinks list runs soft drinks, juice, coffee, tea and milk tea as the base — and at many of the houses, beer and Red Bull make the free list too, the two items nobody believes at first. Planning beers with the steak? Ask us at booking and we confirm the day’s free list item by item — nothing free gets left unclaimed.
So what IS charged?
The line is clean: spirits and wine are billed — whisky, brandy, wine. Everything else on the list is free to order. My friend’s beer never reached the bill precisely because it sat on the free side of that line. Hold the one rule and the bill holds no surprises; the free list’s fine print differs slightly by house, and we verify it for you at booking.
Do the seven differ?
Same backbone, different character:
- Empire — a proper dining hall on-site, comfortable for a late plate
- Majesty — one of the few houses whose listed price already contains the service charge: even charged drinks skip the extra ten percent at the till
- Manhao — a marble dining lounge that ranks among the handsomest rooms of the seven
- East Castle — the entry minimum spend already includes the free dining
- The rest serve the same backbone from dining areas shaped by each floor plan
For baths and rooms compared alongside, the seven-way comparison covers it in one piece.

Dining windows: where the seven differ
Free dining runs through trading hours, so each house’s hours ARE its menu window (as of September 2026):
| House | Hours | Min. spend (MOP from) | Dining window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Empire | 24h | 1,198 | Round the clock; the dining hall is at its best late |
| Manhao | 14:00 – 06:00 | 1,199 | Afternoon open; a noodle soup still lands before the dawn close |
| Shang Pin | 24h | 1,199 | Round the clock; easiest pre-sleep supper |
| Number Nine | 24h | 1,199 | A plate after the show, any hour |
| Majesty | 24h | 1,299 | Round the clock; the listed price is the settled price |
| Excellent | 12:00 – 04:00 | 1,299 | The earliest doors in town — the only lunch sitting |
| East Castle | 24h | 2,288 | The door minimum covers a 90-minute treatment and the dining, whenever you land |
One-line summary: late-night eaters want the five 24-hour houses; a lunch sitting exists only at Excellent. Minimum spends are this site’s listed starting figures for September 2026 — the day’s terms govern.
What is the free dining actually worth?
Read the table from the other direction: as of September 2026, a minimum spend starting at MOP 1,188 already covers the bath halls, the rest areas AND the full free dining — steak, seafood and drinks included, not sold separately. Count the dining as built-in when budgeting the night and the arithmetic changes: dinner and supper resolve inside the house, and the eating-out line of the budget comes straight back. For what each house’s entry covers item by item, the seven-way comparison goes deeper.
When to eat: three natural slots
- After the bath — soak first, eat second; most regulars’ first plate
- After treatments — a hot dish and a coffee to land gently
- Before sleeping over — at the overnight-friendly houses, noodle soup as a nightcap carries you to morning
In a hurry? Reverse it: eat on arrival, then hit the baths — tightest use of the clock.
The bill, and how service charges touch it
The free range isn’t billed — the bill carries only what you actually order: spirits, wine, extra sessions. Note that charged items attract each house’s own service charge or tax, at rates that differ house to house (at Majesty and Excellent the listed price already contains it, so nothing is added at the till). Planning to order spirits? Read the service-charge guide first — the seven bills explained in one piece.
Clube Rio plays by different rules
One caveat: the eighth venue on this site — Clube Rio — is a business KTV club, not a sauna. Its food and drink run on package terms, with free-flow versions available; a different system from sauna free dining entirely. See the nightclub & business KTV page for how it works.
Booking through this site
Free dining is house-standard — everyone gets it. Booking through this site adds no entry fee, free transfers anywhere in Macau, and free add-on services (two at every sauna). To know which houses let you eat and then sleep until morning, read the overnight guide next.
Frequently asked
Are there dining hours? Generally through trading hours, small hours included at the 24-hour houses — exact timing confirmed for you at booking.
Can I come just to eat? Dining is part of the entry package; food-only admission generally isn’t a thing — ask when booking if you need it.
Does everyone in a group get it? Generally yes — per person, each ordering their own; mention your group size at booking and we confirm.
What do spirits and wine roughly cost? Wine lists and prices differ by house and follow the day’s list — tell us what you plan to drink when booking and we check first.
No beef, or other restrictions? The free list runs noodle soups, fried rice, seafood and sandwiches — usually enough to work around; mention any restriction at booking and we ask ahead.
These days my friend orders before he arrives — his booking messages open with “is the steak on tonight?” Yours can too: message us and ask. All offerings follow each venue’s same-day arrangements, confirmed item by item when you book.
