The Excellent Sauna

The Excellent opens its menu at an authentic wellness massage, steps up through two colour-coded groups of soft-style massage and finishes at the top tier — few tiers, cleanly divided. It is the long-established venue among the eleven on this site, and the standard has held steady for years with a lot of returning guests — if you would rather not experiment and just want everything present and correct, this is the low-effort choice.

Theme rooms have become its sharpest feature in recent years: a DJ room, an office, a cinema, a hospital, a Japanese-themed room and a cosplay-themed room among others, all bookable on top of the main menu. It sits in the main building of the Emperor Entertainment Hotel on the Macau peninsula, right in the centre and easy to find. Food and soft drinks are inside your in-house spend.

Open 12:00 to 04:00 — a midday start, the earliest of the eleven, which makes it much the easier option if you want to fit this into the daytime or afternoon. There is no overnight; the rest lounge stays usable right up to the 04:00 close. The 5% service charge and 5% tourism tax are already counted inside the listed price, so nothing is added at the till.
